Dub reggae, funk, disco and house provide new settings for Amana Melome’s songs on Recalibrated The Remixes, arriving on 25 September 2026. The forthcoming collection gathers producers from across the world to reinterpret material associated with her Recalibration journey. Rather than introducing an entirely new set of songs, the album explores how familiar material can carry a renewed sense of purpose.
Its ten-track sequence begins with “LET’S GLOW [Intro]” before moving into the Cee Elassaad and Joel Holmes remix of “SO DONE.” Somos Animales brings a dub treatment to “Con C.ALMA,” with Eli Anai contributing another interpretation of the song. “Recalibration” receives three separate remixes from Opolopo, GodBlessComputers and Saverio ‘Sage’ Principini, giving the title track of the earlier album several new forms.
The record’s closing section reaches further back into Melome’s catalogue. After the “RECALIBRATED” interlude, “Space Age Mama Jama Recalibrated” appears in a remake credited to Deron Johnson and Principini, followed by Principini’s Fire Remix. Selected as the lead single, the song was the first Melome’ ever recorded and originally appeared on Indigo Red! Principini’s involvement reconnects the new recording with the producer behind the original.
The album’s stylistic breadth sits within a career shaped by multiple cultures and art forms. Based in Marbella, Melome’ has connections to Italy, the United States, Spain, Sweden and the Caribbean. Music also runs through her family: her grandfather was jazz musician Jimmy Woode, her grandmother was a jazz singer and dancer, and her parents were musicians. Alongside her recording work, Melome’ writes, paints, makes ceramics and dances.
For all its varied production approaches, the project has a shared emotional focus. Melome’ describes it as an opportunity to dance in celebration of returning to her authentic self and embracing her strength. That celebration will extend into her live schedule, with performances announced for Teatro Niccolini in Florence on 3 October 2026 and Malaga on 10 October 2026.
