With an unheard of indie-funk-pop-rock sound, seemingly incongruent to the modern day, Bad Sounds have released ‘Wages’, actually making some great sounds that take the best of the 90s and reinvent them for today’s audience.
Upon first listening, there’s some hints of Primal Scream in there, all paired with hints of Lilly Allen-esque hooks that are reworked with an indie-pop template.
Supposedly, the Bath-based band bring a smorgasbord of party supplies to their gigs such as their own light up dancefloor, balloons and party poppers so you can imagine how those shows go down. If the video for ‘Wages’ is anything to go by, which features some classic kung-fu film footage alongside the band, then they might just be one to watch for 2017.
