Israeli-born Izakman brings sign language to the forefront, incorporating English, British Sign Language, Braille and Morse Code in his acclaimed music video Cyber Love. Garnering the attention of festivals worldwide, the video heralds the release of album Cyber Love January 27th 2022.
Exploring the theme of absence, the 12-track album influenced by psychedelic literature from the likes of Lewis Carroll and Brothers Grimm. Fronted by songwriter Itamar Isaak, the Cyber Love single channels classic Brit Rock, topped with acid prog rock and melancholic melodies.
Commenting on themes many can relate to, the Cyber Love video tackles the struggles of communicating and making meaningful connection in the digital age. Psychedelia running through sonically, the background echo’s this incorporating braille and morse code. Izakman also directed and edited the piece, participating in Munich Music Video Awards, International Music Video Awards London, Rome Music Video Awards, London Music Video Festival 2021, and Euro Video Song Awards Paris.
Down the Rabbit Hole, a new animated music video, will pair with the release of the album. Taking huge inspiration from the work of Lewis Carroll, including mathematics and literature, the visuals follow a young mathematician lost in a mathematical wonderland in pursuit of the solution to a complex equation. The solution manifesting as Alice. The binary and limitations challenged throughout.
Beyond his musical work, Izakman is celebrated as a filmmaker. His creativity stimulated by the quirky and chaotic world of Yellow Submarine, the songwriter channelled thousands of images and piano pieces. Hoping to provide an equally entertaining experience for new generations, his Jules Verne inspired fantasy adventure television show for Baby TV (Disney) will most likely be a hit. Crafting a world of heightened reality, with the use of live action and animation.
His connections to the Israeli music scene, and the rhythmic and joyous singing of the last remaining hunter-gather tribes in Africa, Izakman allows this to flow through his songwriting and filmmaking.
