New music incoming. On May 9, 2025, Shyfrin Alliance will release In the Shadow of Time—the lead single and title track from their forthcoming second album—on all major platforms. The Kabbalah-influenced project leans into its motto, “Music of the Mystic, Mystics of the Music,” with a concept that treats time not as a persona but as a cover for a hidden force shaping our lives.
Frontman Eduard Shyfrin sets the tone with a commanding bass-baritone: “I want to know who is there – in the shadow of time.” The arrangement answers with impact—thunderous drums and a dramatic blues-rock drive that drops into a Black Hole of emotion before snapping back like a Pendulum. Lyrically, the song invites listeners to rise above Good & Evil and consider what moves inside time’s shadow.
The single follows the band’s debut album Upside Down Blues and the acclaimed Buddha Blues. It also signals a sharper creative focus: abstract expressionist colors, philosophical inquiry, and tight, performance-first writing. Shyfrin—Ukrainian-born, classically trained pianist, businessman, and bestselling author—funnels deep study of science and Kabbalah into precise, layered music. As with previous releases, the track was recorded in Paris with top-tier French rock musicians.
“The nature of time is the greatest mystery,” Shyfrin says. “We don’t know what it is, we cannot define it – but we feel its force… the Wall of Time itself.” In the Shadow of Time is built to make that mystery hit—concept-driven and executed with skill.
