Anchored by sessions at Paris’s Barillet, Ferber, and Grand Armee studios, Shyfrin Alliance will unveil its second album, In the Shadow of Time, on November 14, 2025. Conceived by project founder Eduard Shyfrin—an award-winning author, businessman, and scientist—the record advances the group’s Kabbalah-influenced ethos under the motto Music of the Mystic, Mystics of the Music.
The new release follows the 2024 debut Upside Down Blues, which secured radio playlisting across the US, UK, and Europe and surpassed half a million Spotify streams. In the Shadow of Time refines that momentum into seven blues-rock pieces, each devoted to a different dimension of temporality. Shyfrin frames the album with two guiding images: the plunge into a Black Hole of sound and thought, and the stabilizing return of a Pendulum that marks time’s ceaseless motion.
Shyfrin positions the work as an uncommon undertaking. “I don’t think there exists an album dedicated purely to the topic of time,” he says. “You will not find another album like this. My principle is I may always be afraid to enter new areas, but I will always enter them. Even if it means daring to hit the Wall of Time.” The title track personifies time as an ominous, controlling figure, with rolling drums and Shyfrin’s resonant bass-baritone amplifying a sense of pressure and awe. He compares time’s shapelessness to an abstract expressionist canvas in the spirit of Jackson Pollock: present, forceful, and resistant to definition.
The lead single, Buddha Blues, offers a contrasting tone—an uplifting blues-rock arrangement of guitar, piano, Hammond organ, and a gospel-blues chorus that reflects a Buddhist view of time as a healer. The album’s broader intellectual framework draws from Shyfrin’s ongoing exploration of Kabbalah and science, themes he examined in his Amazon-bestselling book From Infinity to Man: The Fundamental Ideas of Kabbalah Within the Framework of Information Theory and Quantum Physics. “We cannot provide the final answers on such a difficult and unique topic,” he notes. “But we shouldn’t stop searching.”
In the Shadow of Time consolidates Shyfrin Alliance’s blend of conceptual clarity and sturdy blues-rock writing, presenting a focused, seven-song cycle that treats time not as backdrop but as subject. Music videos, images, and a WAV-format album download link will be available in conjunction with the release.
