Rodeo Terrorists have released “Saltire (Tartan Army),” a new Scottish football anthem designed to celebrate the passion and personality of Scotland fans. Out now from 27th March 2026, the single arrives with World Cup fever in the air and the Tartan Army firmly in mind.
The track comes from Richard, a 55-year-old English IT manager whose life has included both music-industry experience and a lasting connection to Scotland. He previously built websites for global pop acts such as Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and Steps, and later returned to music as an independent creator.
Having studied in Scotland, Richard brings affection and humour to the song rather than detached novelty. “Saltire (Tartan Army)” captures football rivalry, supporter pride and the unmistakable banter surrounding Scottish football culture.
With Celtic melodies, electronic punch and pop-rock hooks, the single is built to be catchy and communal. Its support for MND Scotland in memory of Richard’s late friend adds a heartfelt layer to a release that proves football anthems can still be funny, bold and sincere.
