AFS New Double A Side Single Breaks Rap Stereotype

AFS (Alf From South) has released a two-track salvo to give an accurate representation of life in 2021 whilst avoiding rap cliches.

Although AFS is aware of the problems young people are facing in society- as he has seen the effects himself- from gang affiliations and criminal lifestyles to get ahead, the artist has chosen not to become a statistic and make his own decisions.

His two new tracks, Clarity and Floating, reflect the uncompromising yet truthful experiences of AFS, without false representation and over-exaggeration. Sometimes the only way we can tell our story is to get lost in the beats and lyrical wordplay.

Listen here to ‘Clarity’

“The story behind the two songs is an introspective journey, coming from a place of uncertainty and feeling lost, to find clarity about being sure of yourself.”

AFS

Based in South East London, AFS has a life-long obsession for rap music from both sides of the Atlantic; he felt destined that his distinct deft wordplay would one day be heard.

Avoiding the trappings of the fake gangster stereotype, AFS lets his personality touch every bar through both his conversational-style lyrics and through the honesty of a South Londoner just trying to tell you how it is.
