Former Prisoner Turned Artist Ang Low Sings Powerful Message on New Single ‘If I Slipped’

Ang Low brings something new and necessary to the table with his brand new single, ‘If I Slipped’.

Focusing on the darker side of themes such as religion and love, Ang Low’s upcoming single goes into emotional detail about losing control and making bad decisions.

Having been to prison and suffering from depression in his cell, Ang Low has transformed these experiences into irresistible and mesmerising art.

Based in Brooklyn, Ang Low has turned his life around to become a solo singer-songwriter and producer. Drawing upon past experiences, his latest track mixes R & B with Neo-soul influences to transcend boundaries and backgrounds.

‘If I Slipped’ was released 29th June.

“Everyone wants to have that something special in the music world, that bit of spark to make them stand out. Ang Low has it in both hands with his beautiful melodies that have made a name for him in the world of pop.”

The song opens with a stylistically disjointed chorus and closes with heavy-handed vocals and harmonies. Throughout the track, it is beautifully haunting as it is moving.

“I just wrote songs in my cell every day”, says Ang Low.

“I had no clue where to go from there. But the music just kept me sane, writing kept me focused and going. Eventually this mentality just blossomed into an artist.”

The track is clever in the sense it infuses synths with a heavy percussive beat whilst remaining slick and smooth, with Ang Lows unique vocals drawing listeners back for more.

The accompanying music video for ‘If I Slipped’ is set to be released sometime in July. It’s a powerful and effortless complement to the messages of the songs.

The video features Ang Low alone, truly emphasising the skill of this up and coming artist, whose talent thrived from even the darkest and loneliest of places.
