Some Velvet Morning have treated fans to yet another large collection of brilliant songs that are both diverse and dynamic. Releasing their album Rough Seas with leading track Ghosts, Some Velvet Morning showcase their talents and songwriting skills as they explore the genre of pop rock with fans to enjoy.
When first listening to the leading track Ghosts, the element that captures the attention of the listener first is the soft but intricately played guitar that acts as a backing for layered and double tracked vocals. The song’s introduction nods to influences of sea chants while building emphasis into a heavier production.
As a nine track body of work, rough seas is also available on vinyl and all streaming services. To promote the album release, Some Velvet Morning have been dropping weekly music videos, sharing their visual vision for the album.
